Polar Bear welcomes visitors to February Vacation
Week at The New Children’s Museum

 Lars the Little Polar
Bear, beloved children’s storybook character, will appear live twice daily from
February 15 - 23, 2014 at The New Children’s Museum in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Visitors will experience an animated story about Lars, learn how to find the
Big and Little Dippers in the planetarium sky, dance and meet Lars close-up! There
is an additional charge for this experience.

visitors to design, build and experiment with different contraptions. On Sunday
2/16, build devices that launch into a wind tunnel. On Monday 2/17, invent a
machine to slow things down. On Wednesday 2/19, learn to assemble electric
circuits. On Saturday 2/22, design moving parts to tell a story through light
and shadow puppets. The Tinkering Workshops, sponsored by the 3M Foundation,
are held from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. on the days indicated and are included with
museum admission.
