Riverwood Poetry Series

Doors open at 6:30 PM for a chance to munch and mingle. The reading begins promptly at 7:00 PM. Q & A and Open Mic follow the reading. Free admission; donations gratefully accepted. Donations of non-perishable food also accepted for AHCC’s Crisis Food Support Program. Known for his electrifying performances, Sean Thomas Dougherty has performed at hundreds of venues, universities and festivals across North America and Europe. His forthcoming collection, All I Ask for Is Longing: Poems 1994-2014 (2014 BOA Editions) is the thirteenth book he has written or edited. He is the recipient of two Pennsylvania Council for the Arts Fellowships in Poetry and a Fulbright Lectureship to the Balkans.  He has read for PBS radio in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Rochester and Cleveland. He currently lives in Erie, PA where he works in a pool hall and writes his poems. “The gypsy punk heart of American poetry.” - Dorianne Laux
