On Saturday, September 7,
the Rotary Club of West Hartford will present its sixth annual “Claws for a
Cause” fundraiser on the grounds of the American School for the Deaf.  The event is a lobster fest that will run
from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. featuring family-friendly entertainment.  Farmington Bank is the Platinum Sponsor;
others include Stanger Law, The Griffen Group at Merrill Lynch, MaxIT, The
Mercy Community, Liberty Bank, the Perry Egress Group at Morgan Stanley, Shari
Cantor, Harry Davidson,  Stafford
Associates, Citizens Bank, Hincks, Inc. and Mark Tamaccio.

The Rotary Club of West Hartford raises much-needed dollars
for causes including West Hartford Youth Sports, The Noah Webster House and
West Hartford Historical Society, HARC, the Hillcrest Avenue Neighborhood
Outreach Center, Gifts of Music, and The Town That Cares.  Each year, they join forces with the Noah
Webster House to provide every third grader in a West Hartford school with his
or her own dictionary.  On the global
level, Rotary International is committed to ending the spread of polio and with
providing clean drinking water.

Tickets are $55 per person; attendees may select either a
lobster or steak dinner.  Tickets are $5
per child for either a hot dog or hamburger dinner.  All tickets may be purchased at Sedgwick
Cleaners, located at 17 Sedgwick Road in West Hartford, or through local
Rotarians.  The Accounting Crows and the
Insurance City Chorus will perform live at the event.
