SCHOOLHUSE ROCK LIVE!

Universalist Players Perform SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!
1970s Saturday morning cartoons come to lifein a musical that’s fun for the whole family

The Universalist Players present the musical SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! for its annual intergenerational production on March 28 through March 30, 2014 in West Hartford, CT.

“Schoolhouse Rock” was the 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs. In this musical version, a nerve-wracked teacher is anxious about the first day of school, tries to relax by watching TV. Various characters representing facets of her personality emerge from the set and show her how to win her students over with imagination and music, through such beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs as “Just A Bill,” “Conjunction Junction,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly,” and many more.

The production incudes an intergenerational cast of student and adult actors and is co-directed by Gretchen Fountain and Herb Emanuelson.
