Sherlock Holmes Investigates Playhouse on Park in The Hound of the Baskervilles

WEST HARTFORD, CT- The world’s most
famous detective comes across the pond to Playhouse on Park in a hilarious
retelling of The Hound of the
Baskervilles
! When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on his estate, and
the evidence points to a supernatural beast, it is up to Sherlock Holmes and
his trusty companion, Dr. Watson, to gather the clues and solve the mystery
around an ancient family curse. With a wide array of characters played by only
three actors, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most renowned story gets a gloriously
funny makeover!



Director Tom Ridgely, a Drama Desk nominee, returns to
Playhouse, having previously directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged and Art. He is the co-founder of Waterwell
and directs the Drama Program at Professional Performing Arts School in
Manhattan, and has directed productions with FringeNYC, Barrow Street, NYU, and
Yale. Rich Hollman (Sherlock Holmes), a member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA, was
previously seen at Playhouse in The
Mystery of Irma Vep
, The Complete
Works of William Shakespeare Abridged,
and Art. He is currently on the faculty at New School University, and
has held principal roles on TV shows such as Law and Order and All My Children.
Sean Harris (Watson) is a Co-Artistic Director at Playhouse, with an MFA from New
School for Drama/Actors Studio and performances with The PA Shakespeare
Festival and Bank Street Theatre under his belt. He is also the Director of
Theatre at Hall High School in West Hartford. Brennan Caldwell (Sir Henry
Baskerville) makes his debut at Playhouse. He is a recent Yale graduate, where
he has starred in Amadeus and Sweeney Todd.
