On December 2, the East Haddam Stage Company will recreate “Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Speckled Band,” a 30 minute “radio” drama, complete with sound effects and audience participation, at the Noah Webster Library.
The performance, directed by Kandie Carle, will use the original 1930 radio script of Connecticut actor William Gillette, who famously portrayed Holmes throughout his career. In addition to the watching the recreation, attendees will learn about Gillette in a brief introduction.
This free event will take place at 7:00pm in the library’s meeting room, 20 South Main Street, West Hartford, CT. For more information, or to register for the program, contact the library at 860-561-6990.
