The Art of Guitar Making

The Art of Guitar Making, an exhibit of handmade,
electric guitars made by West Hartford native Peter Occhineri, will open in the
West Hartford Art League Saltbox Gallery, Thursday, October 10th,
from 7-9 p.m.

With a background in woodworking at his family business, and
a love of music that includes playing the guitar in a band during high school,

Peter branched out ten years ago and started creating hand crafted,

collectible, electric guitars. These guitars show an exquisite attention to

detail and are truly works of art. “The woodwork alone is a feast for the eyes;
Peter uses finely chosen woods with very different, unique shapes and
materials’ according to musician Tim McDonald.

Thee exhibit will run through October 27th. The
opening and exhibit are free and open to the public. The West Hartford Art League Saltbox Gallery is located at 37 Buena Vista Road. Gallery hours are Thursday – Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
