West Hartford Women's Group to Meet
West Hartford Women in Networking (WWIN) invites area women to join them for their March networking meeting. The meeting consists of introductions, speaker, small group discussion and a light breakfast.This morning they will be joined by Sally Whipple, Executive Director of Hartford's Old State House an architectural gem that has ties to every town in the state. Many famous people passed through its doors, including Noah Webster and PT Barnum. Sally Whipple works for the Connecticut Public Affairs Network as Executive Director of Connecticut’s Old State House. She is the Vice Chair of Connecticut Humanities and serves on the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s Civic Health Advisory Group, the CT Civil War Commemoration Commission and the Hartford History Center Advisory Board. She has served as director of education and executive director of the Noah Webster House, as director of education for the Mark Twain House, as director of the Lebanon Historical Society and as an anti-hunger advocate for the CT Association for Human Services. She has also consulted on strategic and interpretive planning with many small history groups in Connecticut.Come join us as we see pictures and hear stories of this CT treasure and its impact on life in Connecticut.
