Copper Beech Institute: Center for Mindfulness

Yoga Weekend for Peace and Balance

Copper Beech Institute, a new home in Connecticut for mindfulness, meditation, and contemplative practice, welcomes you as we host a series of grand opening events in September and October. Our first event celebrates the International Day of Peace,September 12-14 with a Yoga Weekend for Peace and Balance. Join us for a weekend of mindful yoga, farm to table food, and practical wisdom. Explore how the practice of yoga can help you live your life with greater ease and balance. The retreat will include outdoor yoga for all levels of experience, a candlelight labyrinth walk, meditation, yoga postures, and poetry. A celebration of the equinox is also planned with an intimate flute and guitar concert by Deborah Gillespie and Marc Huberman. Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat. All experience levels, ages, and abilities are welcome, including beginners. Tuition is $250 + Accommodations. Additional grand opening events include a mindfulness retreat featuring Sharon Salzberg, Sept. 19-21, and much more. A host of retreats, courses, and programming in mindfulness and contemplative practice, including free will offering monthly mindfulness groups and an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course, are planned through mid-2015, with additional events being scheduled for the 2015-2016 season.
