2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck Rolls into Action at the Mandell JCC; Sunday, June 10, 2012

Grab your hard hats and call the pit crew, the 2nd Annual Mandell JCC Touch-A-Truck rolls into the parking lot on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mandell JCC’s Family Room Parenting Center. In dereference to the Special Needs community, there will be a designated no honk time from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

A hands-on experience, Touch-A-Truck enables children to get behind the wheel of a variety of commercial and industrialized vehicles, including a fire truck, ambulance, school bus, trolley, construction vehicles and more. Children have the opportunity to meet the drivers and operators of their favorite cars and trucks. The 2nd Mandell JCC Touch-A-Truck will also offer fingerprinting kits, crafts, an inflatable moon-bounce and more.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mandell JCC’s Family Room Parenting Center, a community resource for parent education, classes and activities. The Room features rest areas, toys, games, and a resource library for parents and children. Staffed by a team of early childhood professionals, it is open during regular Mandell JCC hours.
