5K AIDS WALK/RUN 2012

5K AIDS WALK/ RUN 2012 TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2012
HARTFORD, CT: 
5K AIDS Walk/Run 2012 will take place on Saturday, October 6 at the MDC Reservoir in West Hartford (1420 Farmington Avenue., Route 4. )AIDS Walk/Run 2012 is a joint fundraiser of AIDS Project Hartford and the Connecticut AIDS Resource Coalition. Our theme is: “Nobody With HIV/AIDS Walks/Runs Alone” and we encourage walkers/runners to bring friends or to start or join a team. Participants will enjoy yoga, massage, beverages, snacks, T-shirts ($100 or more raised) and prizes (top M/F in each running category, top team fundraiser and top individual fundraiser. 
Registration for the run will begin at 9:00am (10:00am start time, $25 run registration fee) The Last Mile, LLC will serve as the official timer for the 5K run.5K Run Award Categories: 
19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Registration for the walk will begin at 10:30am (11:30 start time, $10 walk registration fee – School teams are free to register).

AIDS Project Hartford (APH) has been providing direct care and education prevention services to those affected by HIV/AIDS for twenty-five years. 
The Connecticut AIDS Resources Coalition (CARC) has been the main advocacy voice for people living with HIV/AIDS in Connecticut for twenty years.   Both agencies are recognized 501(c)(3) organizations.
