First Lady of Connecticut Cathy Malloy to speak to women's group.
West Hartford Women in Networking is pleased to announce that Cathy Malloy, The First Lady of CT, will be speaking to West Hartford Women in Networking on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at The McAuley, 275 Steele Road, West Hartford, CT. Mrs. Malloy is presently the Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Hartford Arts Council. She is a seasoned non-profit administrator, business leader, and passionate advocate of the arts. She has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industries, opened eleven restaurants and owned an eatery and catering business. She also served at VP of Development for the United Way of Greenwich and as the Executive Director of The Center of Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education. She has been tireless in her pursuit of raising funds and caring for victims and their families. Since beginning her work at the Arts Council, she has quickly established herself as an enthusiastic leader and a dedicated spokesperson for the arts community. Before her time at the Arts Council, Mrs. Malloy served as the chair of the Stamford Arts in Education initiative and on the boards of the Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra, the Stamford Center for the Arts and the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.The meeting will begin at 7:30 AM and breakfast will be provided.
