Gift a Donation to Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season - Beth El Temple Hosts a Mitzvah Mall this Sunday December 11, 2011
In addition to shopping for holiday gifts at the mall, why not “buy” crayons for an after-school program, toys for hospitalized children, food for a homeless person, or clothes for a victim of domestic violence in your friend’s or relative’s name? Feel the power and impact of your generosity as you “shop” around, learning about and donating to over twenty worthwhile non-profit organizations. These purchases are really donations to the organization and range in cost from $2 to $10. For example, at a booth that raises money for the homeless, a $2 donation might be able to purchase a pair of gloves for a homeless person. You will not receive a pair of gloves; rather, the donated money will go toward the work of that organization. You will receive a beautiful card to gift to someone special for the holidays that indicates that a donation to that organization has been made in their honor.
Please join Beth El Temple on Sunday morning December 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a Mitzvah Mall. Please participate in making donations in honor of your family and friends. Holiday shopping will never be the same again! This program, taking place at Beth El Temple (2626 Albany Avenue, West Hartford), is co-sponsored by the Charter Oak Cultural Center.
