Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs will be hosting a fundraising Silent Auction Event this Saturday April 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to benefit Hagley Student Volunteer Opportunities, LLC.
This not-for-profit organization was formed in order to raise money and fund a small group of local Connecticut students who will be traveling to the Dominican Republic to bring help, healing and hope to the impoverished area of Luperon. From July 17-24, 2012, these students will be fully immersed in learning and growing in another culture while building a family in need a home of their own.
These students have collected items from local West Hartford stores and other crafters to be donated for their fundraising efforts to make this trip a possibility. All donated items will be auctioned off for this event. The
highest bidder walks away with the item and the proceeds go directly towards the fundraising efforts of this group!

Le Petite France will also be partnering with this humanitarian fundraising effort, donating delicious and delectable french pastries, as well as special gifts to auction bidders.
