The wheels on the bus, the fire truck, and the ambulance will go round and round Sunday, May 15, 2011, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Mandell JCC Touch-a-Truck event, Zachs Campus 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford CT. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Family Room Parenting Center at the Mandell JCC.
Touch-a-Truck inspires children to put their imagination in gear and go! Kids who attend will get behind the wheels of some of their favorite vehicles, including a fire truck, school bus, limousine, ambulance, snowplow, construction vehicles, and more! Families will meet the real-life heroes who operate these fun, fascinating vehicles. Ideal for toddlers through ten year-olds, Touch-a-Truck will also include crafts, face painting, an inflatable moon-bounce and more.
The Mandell JCC Touch-a-Truck event is presented by the Family Room Parenting Center, a community resource for parent education, classes and activities. The Room offers rest areas, toys, games, and a resource library for parents and children to learn and grow together. Staffed by a team of early childhood professionals, it is open during regular Mandell JCC hours.
