Help Smooth a Rough Road for a West Hartford Family

After losing a friend, Jon Lindeberg created a fundraiser to help the wife and children of Chad T. Arnold.

Generous. Tremendous. Those are just two of the words Jon Lindeberg used to describe his friend, Chad Arnold.

"Chad was a tremendous human being and touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with," Lindeberg wrote on his GoFundMe page. "Chad never had a lot of money, but was the most generous person I knew."

Arnold passed away and is survived by his wife Alisa, 9-year-old son Charlie and 5-year-old daughter Gwen. Lindeberg created a GoFundMe page in January of this year, to raise money for the family.

"We are raising money which Alisa can use to pay medial bills, funeral expenses, mortgage, etc.," he wrote. "It will certainly be a rough road and your support to them in any amount is greatly appreciated."

As of Dec. 12, the community donated $27,870 to the Arnold family, with the most recent donation made one month ago.
