Morley School's Red Wagon Brigade Slated for Wednesday

The annual parade of food donations is one of the town's largest drives.

On Wednesday, the annual Red Wagon Brigade will wind its way to from Morley Elementary School to West Hartford Town Hall.

The Red Wagon Brigade, in which students, staff and parents make the mile-long march to bring donations for the food pantry, has been taking place for 19 years. The partnership between the towns’ Department of Human and Leisure Services and the school is a key fundraiser for town’s food pantry.

In fact, the drive is one of the town’s largest and it comes at a time of great need, when shelves are usually bare and the pantry needs to stock up before the holiday season.
