West Hartford to Host 20th Annual Tarbor House Tag Sale

Annual event, which benefits formerly homeless men living in the Tarbor House HIV/Aids residence program, begins July 17.

An annual tag sale event that raises funds for formerly homeless men living in the Tarbor House HIV/Aids residence program is coming to West Hartford next week.

The 20th annual Tarbor House tag sale will run from July 17 to July 19 at the Convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 27 Park Road, on the ground level of the chapel.

The annual event has raised nearly $150,000 since its inception.

The sale starts July 17 with an opening reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with wine, hors d'oeurves, and a silent auction. Auction items include memberships to local museums, four tickets to Walt Disney World, and various prize packages. There is a $10 admission for the event, which also allows shoppers early access to the tag sale.

The sale continues on July 18 from noon to 6 p.m. with a $1 admission. The last day of the sale is July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free.
