Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating illness that affects at least 5.4 million Americans. Occupational therapists offer treatments that can promote safety and enhance a patient’s quality of life, in addition to providing comfort and care for people with the disease and their families.
Hebrew Health Care Cognitive S.T.A.R.T.S (Strategies, Testing Abilities, Rehabilitation Therapy and Support) Program is a cognitive rehab program designed for care partners and individuals with memory disorders to identify remaining strengths and help develop coping strategies for daily function. This program emphasizes:

Occupational Therapists conduct assessments to establish individualized care plans for each person. The ultimate goal of Cognitive STARTS is to promote independence, ensure safety and promote quality of life.
