Volunteers Needed to Decorate Graves

West Hartford will place flags on the graves of 1200 military personnel.

West Hartford seeks volunteers to place American flags on the graves of 1200 military personnel at the Fairview Cemetery as decoration for Memorial Day. 

A program will follow at St. Peter Claver Church, featuring remarks by Sergeant Major James Peter Matthews, Mayor Scott Slifka, Minority Leader Denise Hall, and a benediction by Father James F. Leary. 

Pizza and ice cream will be served afterwards to those who help.
