West Hartford Art League's Small Holiday Small Works & Ornament Sale Off to Great Start

The first night of the West Hartford Art League’s Holiday Small Works & Ornament sale was a success.

Twelve works of art and numerous ornaments were sold, according to the art league’s Facebook page.

The sale is going on at the Saltbox Gallery Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. until Dec. 29, according to Roxanne Stachelek, the art league’s executive director.

It’s the first year that the art league has held the ornament sale.

“More than 33 local artists donated ornaments that will be sold for a $25 donation to the West Hartford Art League,” Stachelek said.

The ornaments are being sold in conjunction with smaller art works at the gallery that are more conducive to gift-giving, Stachelek said.

“Everybody can come in and buy a unique piece of art that’s affordable,” Stachelek said.
