Do you feel as if you are in a sinking boat?

Recently I have been feeling that I am in a boat that is sinking, surrounded by citizens that I no longer respect and like because of their continued complacency with our government's treatment of the middle class, and really not caring that we all are about to drown.

For decades our citizens have allowed a corporate takeover of our government.  Have you read the blueprint of that takeover in the memo written in 1971 to President Nixon by the Supreme Court Justice, Lewis Powell?  It is now available in a documentary film entitled, "Heist".  Just google Powell memo.

In the memo, as portrayed in that film, there was an orchestrated takeover of our citizens' government by Corporate America starting in 1971.  Back then, our trade deficit was merely $6 billion.  Now it is over 100 times that amount.  With Citizens United, NDAA, NSA spying on citizens, and the passage of PIPA and SOPA looming, it is merely a matter of time before our Bill of Rights is entirely shredded.

And yet my fellow Americans in that sinking boat remain as complacent as the Eloi, sheepishly awaiting their Morlock fate.

Like Cassandra, for a number of years I have been sounding the alarm to all, publishing and writing and speaking, hoping to organize and awake anyone and everyone from slumber, but to no avail.

So here I sit in a boat that is sinking, with my fellow Americans, without much, if any, despair, only a perverse satisfaction that all of them who continue to remain so oblivious and complacent about the Corporate takeover of our government will be going down with me.
