Eight KO Students to Perform with West Hartford Symphony Orchestra on Oct. 27

Eight Kingswood Oxford students will perform with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra in its opening concert of the season on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 3pm. The concert will be held in Roberts Theater, in the heart of the KO campus, steps from Blue Back Square.

Sam Wiseman ’14 of West Hartford will perform a piano solo of Addisnell’s "Warsaw Concerto." The other KO students who will be playing are Collin Brantner ’14, Michael Dillon ’15, Nick Giamalis ’16, Caroline Kaufman ’14, Mahathi Kumar ’14, Samantha Pinkes ’14, and Lily Wu ’16.

The concert will also feature veteran radio announcer Brad Davis narrating the Gettysburg Address with the orchestra, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Address next month.

For tickets ($15, children under 12 free), visit www.whso.org or call 860-521-4362. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Doors open at 2:15 pm. Parking for handicapped patrons is available immediately inside KO’s main gate, off Outlook Avenue. Regular parking may be accessed through the Trout Brook Drive entrance.
