Kingswood Oxford Girls’ Tennis Wins De Villafranca Title by Largest Margin Ever
For the fifth time in six years, and with the largest margin in school history, the Girls' Varsity Tennis team from Kingswood Oxford won the prestigious Coe de Villafranca Tennis Tournament, which was played on May 10 at Kent School.
Playing at #1 singles, Melissa Lord '15 of Bloomfield won all of her matches, beating Kent in the finals. Playing at #2 singles, Morgan Risinger '16 of South Glastonbury also won all of her matches.
Olivia Shea '16 of West Hartford and Allie Perron '16 of Hebron, the #1 doubles team, won four of their five matches, but lost to Andover in the semifinals.

The Wyverns garnered 84 points in total, 25 points ahead of Hotchkiss and Andover, who finished second and third, respectively. This was the largest margin in School history, according to Head Coach Ron Garcia. "It was a very dominant and inspiring performance," he said.
In addition to KO, the schools participating in the tournament were Ethel Walker, Greenwich Academy, Hotchkiss, Kent, Loomis Chaffee, Phllips Exeter, Phillips Andover, Taft, and Westminster.
