Kingswood Oxford Offers Independent School Affordability Workshop on Oct. 17

For many parents, the idea of independent school may be appealing, yet seems out of the question because of the cost.

But a wide range of tuition assistance – including merit scholarships, need-based financial aid, and student loans – may make independent school a more affordable option than people realize.  On Thursday, Oct. 17, from 7-8:30pm, Kingswood Oxford School will offer an Independent School Affordability Seminar for parents who wish to learn more about this critical topic.

“Most families realize the value of an independent school education, but cite affordability as their greatest concern,” said Jim O’Donnell, KO’s Director of Enrollment Management. “Over the years, we have found this seminar to be both informative and encouraging for prospective parents.”

Hosted by O’Donnell and Alan Comrie, KO’s Director of Financial Aid, the event is free of charge and open to the public. It will cover all of the financing options available to private-school parents, and will outline the steps involved in applying for financial aid, as well as various payment options. It will be held in the Conklin Library.
