KO Girls’ Squash Team Places 2nd in New Englands, Wins Sportsmanship Award

Kingswood Oxford’s Varsity Girls’ Squash team placed second at the New England Interscholastic Squash Association tournament on Feb. 22, just one point behind the champion, and also won the Sportsmanship Award for the C bracket – a prestigious, peer-chosen honor.

The Wyverns, who finished with 49 points, just behind Williston Northampton, were led by Claudia Udolf ’14 (#1) and Sophia Harrison ’15 (#2), each of whom placed first in her flight.

Udolf, who earlier this year won the Hopkins Tournament, beat #1 players from Ethel Walker, Millbrook, and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols, the latter of which was a hard-fought, four-game match.
