"Signed, Sealed, Delivered;" Kingswood Oxford Group Wins Top Award at Choate A Cappella Contest

Singing the Stevie Wonder hit, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” Kingswood Oxford’s elite co-ed chorus was named best co-ed ensemble at an a cappella contest hosted in April by Choate Rosemary Hall. Amanda Pratt '13 was the soloist and Casey Barter ’15 the vocal percussionist in the version of the song performed by Outlook, KO’s co-ed chorus. The group also performed a medley of five Justin Timberlake songs, featuring solos by Mary Colliton '14, Melissa Gitlin '13, Jack Beckerman '15, Andrew Sikora '13, Shravya Rao '14, Julianne DeAngelo '15, plus Barter doing vocal percussion. The Choate competition, called “Acapelooza 2013,” included groups from Avon Old Farms, Choate, Ethel Walker, Hotchkiss, Loomis Chaffee, Miss Porter's, Pomfret, and The Wheeler School, in addition to KO. Winners were determined by a panel of five judges, all of whom are college professors of music.
