Still Some Room Left in Camp KO

Still making summer plans for your kids? Consider Camp KO, Kingswood Oxford's unique new summer day camp for kids entering grades 5-10.

Robotics (sponsored by UTC), tennis, and a cappella are just three examples of Camp KO’s wide range of academics, sports, and arts offerings. The camp will be held from 8:30-4:30 each day, in three sessions: June 17-21, July 8-19, and July 22-August 2. Current KO faculty and coaches will lead most of the classes.

The cost is $495 per week, and some discounts are available. Contact Camp KO Director Sheri Slobin Shea for details (860-233-9631, x5032).

Camp KO takes a holistic approach to the summer experience; all campers, regardless of their specific session, will also participate in stretching and conditioning, healthy-eating sessions, and talks from inspiring speakers who will emphasize the importance of practice and good sportsmanship.

“I loved my own summer camp experience – I had loads of fun, made lifelong friends, and improved the most during those summer days on the tennis courts,” said Shea, a tennis pro with more than 30 years of experience. “I hope that Camp KO will offer that same experience, and similar memories, to another generation of kids!”
