Two outstanding players from Kingswood Oxford girls’ ice hockey program have been chosen for a prestigious statewide team.

After trying out, Nicole Demers ’16, daughter of Robert and Linda Demers of Avon, and Georgia Kraus ’19, daughter of Alex Kraus and Bonnie Scranton ’88 of West Hartford, were tapped for Team CT in their respective age groups.

Team CT will compete against other state teams in the New England District Festival in New Hampshire on the last weekend of March.

In addition, Kraus is one of only two Connecticut girls named to the East Coast Selects team, which will play in the first-ever World Selects Invitational in Stockholm and Helsinki in late April.

Nurturing athletic ability is a cornerstone of a Kingswood Oxford education; for information about enrollment, contact the Admissions Office. Only those students who apply by Feb. 1 are eligible for merit scholarships, for which financial need is not a prerequisite.
