Getting Burned

Had a really bad experience with the consignment shop, Panache, on New Park.  Since I will no longer be carrying handbags in the Beadoir, and I had not sold the evening bags over the last two West Hartford Sales Days, thought I'd try consignment and then donate whatever didn't sell.   On good faith back in March I left a large quantity of bags with the owner of Panache and said she should just send me an inventory list when she checked the bags over.    After 6 weeks or so I called her asking for the list.   Was told it was sent but I never received it nor did she send a second one.   Finally two weeks ago I felt it was time to pick up the bags.    To shorten the story I discovered that 5 of the most expensive pieces, handbags by Whiting and Davis, were missing from those returned.   Of course she denied ever seeing or remembering them, and perhaps I never gave them to her.   Totally not the case.   so be forewarned.
