Electric Run 5K to Benefit March of Dimes - Volunteer or Participate!

On Saturday, August 10 at 8 p.m., the Electric Run 5k will be lighting up Rentschler Field in East Hartford and proceeds from the event will benefit the March of Dimes!

Electric Run is the nation's premier nighttime 5k run/walk experience, where the participants are an integrated part of the show. Featuring immersive "lands" of light and sound that transport the participant into an electric wonderland, Electric Run promises to transport the mind, body and soul to a new world in a healthy and drug-free way. Participants are encouraged to join in on the art by lighting up with glow sticks, LEDs and anything else their imagination can conjure up. The event finishes with a celebration party and is open to all ages.

Kids ages seven and under can register for free and strollers are welcome.  Register now at www.electricrun.com/hartford.  Use promo code “MOD” for 10% off registration and help support the March of Dimes mission to give all babies a strong and healthy start.

Volunteers are also needed.  By volunteering (and tell them you support the March of Dimes), the organization will also receive a special donation.  Shifts are available for packet pick-up on August 8-9 at Fleet Feet Sports in West Hartford, and on 5k day, August 10.  Register to volunteer at www.electricrun.com/hartford or http://www.doitsports.com/volunteer2/jobs-by-date.tcl?event_id=215160.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
