Connecticut's Own 3 Penny Chorus and Orchestra Moving on with 'America's Got Talent'
3 Penny is a volunteer chorus and orchestra in Connecticut. Their volunteers have professions that range from musicians, teachers, pastors, and doctors. They perform classical music - with a twist! Their love for music spans from Bach to Jepsen!
I saw the Facebook post Tuesday evening from the 3 Penny Chorus and Orchestra that East Coast fans needed to tune into America's Got Talent. I watched the entire show waiting to see this unique group with Connecticut connections take to the stage for one more audition and learn if they were moving on to the next round of the reality talent show.
The show ended and I figured that I had somehow missed it. It turns out that just a few representatives of the New Haven-based group appeared onstage with two other groups and learned that they are moving on (without any further audition) to Radio City Music Hall.
You can read about their original audition on the Hartford Courant blog of MaryEllen Fillo

I am so glad that the results were confirmed on its Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
Two teachers in the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Music Department are in the orchestra. My niece Isabelle Sasso attends the Academy and is rooting for them.
