Food, Crafts, Rides, and More: Something for Everyone at Celebrate West Hartford

Celebrate West Hartford will take place Saturday, June 7 (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.) and Sunday, June 8 (noon - 6 p.m.) on the grounds of West Hartford Town Hall.

Whether you are young or old, a thrill-seeker or someone who enjoys quiet music, a fan of exotic foods or a fried dough aficionado, a craft fair enthusiast or a supporter of local non-profits – you will find something to enjoy at Celebrate West Hartford.

Many mark their calendars well in advance for the not-to-be-missed opportunity to purchase unique jewelry, artwork, pottery, apparel, and much more from 175 vendors at the one of the region's top arts and craft shows.

Celebrate West Hartford also offers a wide variety of entertainment on the main stage, with music from local students on Saturday and a selection of professional performers on Sunday.

But wait, there's more.

There's the "Celebrate Amusement Park" – with a slew of rides for thrill-seekers of all ages, ranging from kiddie cars and swirling tubs to a gravatron, tilt-a-whirl, sizzler, and a roller coaster. Traditional carnival games are also crowd favorites.

There's a horse-drawn trolley (sponsored by RE/MAX Premier REALTORS of West Hartford), as well as pony rides and the ever-popular petting zoo.

West Hartford's own 9-hole Mini Golf course returns this year, featuring local landmarks such as Town Hall, the Noah Webster House, and First Church Congregational. Conard High School's "Kids Helping Kids" Club runs the golf activity, raising funds to benefit the Leisure Services "iCan Bike" program that teaches children with special needs to ride two-wheelers each summer.

Leisure Services will once again host the "Step Up to Health" Challenge – where anyone has the opportunity to participate in free, fun, physical activities and can win a prize!

There are dozens of exhibit booths from sponsors and area non-profits, many offering give-aways or fun activities.
