Says You! Comes to Town This Weekend!

This fall, the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society and the University of Saint Joseph are bringing to West Hartford “Says You!” to West Hartford, a word-based radio game show. Each week, panelists use words, definitions, and straight out bluffs to help their team win the game. The show records in front of a live audience, and gives audience members the chance to participate.

On Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 2 p.m., “Says You!” is coming to the Hoffman Auditorium at USJ (Asylum Ave., West Hartford). Panelists may include Richard Sher, Barry Nolan, Francine Achbar, Tony Kahn, Carolyn Faye Fox, Arnie Reisman, Paula Lyons, and Phil Salkind. The show will tape two episodes for later broadcast on National Public Radio. The taping will include a brief intermission.

Following the program, a reception will take place in the Bruyette Athenaeum at USJ with Richard Sher, the creator, host, and producer of the show, and Peter Sokolowski, Merriam-Webster’s Editor at Large.  This will include a champagne reception with gourmet hors d’oeuvres by Rizzuto’s. Tickets to the reception are $30 per person.  The public may purchase reception and show tickets at wwwNoahWebsterHouse.org and receive information by calling 860-521-5362 ext 10.
