Northwest Catholic Inducts 11 Students Into the Tri-M Music Honor Society

Northwest Catholic inducted 11 students into the Tri-M Music Honor Society on May 22nd. Daniel Kowalczyk ’11, the first president of Tri-M at Northwest Catholic, was the guest speaker.

To be invited into membership in Tri-M, students must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average, be nominated by their peers, and demonstrate proficiency on their instrument or with their voice. Students should excel in music, and are required to give at least ten hours of service to the community each year

The new inductees are Kyle Brooks ’15, Justin Drisdelle ’15, Amaia Fernandez ’15, Victoria Gleixner ’14, Sean Oleasz ’15, Michael Pascoal ’15, Ryan Sands ’15, Fiona Travers ’15, Adam Vancisin ’15, Abigail Visintainer ’15 and Cameron Young ’15.

Kowalczyk spoke about the role music has played in his life. He said his involvement in the music program at Northwest Catholic “was the greatest decision I could have made at the time.” Daniel added that music “shaped me into a person I would never want to change.”
