Happy Thanksgiving, West Hartford!
Just like last year, this has been another tough year for many people – with continued economic troubles, more crazy weather, and another round of power outages.
Thanksgiving provides an opportunity for people to step back and consider what is really important in their lives, and what they are thankful for.
I'll start it off by saying what I am thankful for this year. Please let us know what you and your families are thankful for, too.
I am thankful for ...
- Spending Thankgiving with my wonderful family – husband, two kids, sister, father, stepmother, and dog – and my in-laws who we will see over the weekend;
- Living in a great town like West Hartford, with great schools and services, a safe lifestyle, and town officials who really care about their constituents;
- My health, including my left wrist which seems to have healed well after my FOOSH* incident in August (*"fall on outstreched hand");
- And lots of other things that I will think of after I publish this.
Now it's your turn!
