Ridiculous "traffic-calming"

OK - I understand the town bought some consultant's pitch hook line and sinker, and started spending money to create expensive optical illusions on our roads. And unbelievably went so far as to place brick/stone/tree obstacles in the roads - something so stupid a child would laugh at the idea. But I just drove down Arnoldale south of Farmington and I can't believe it. It's like an amusement park go-cart track. Where will this boondoggle end? Why don't you just put up concrete maze walls and require a 3-point turn every 10 yards? If the aim was to increase driver frustration, car-on-median crashes, or to make the town a laughing stock, then well done. But I say stop spending my money on this hair-brained scheme!
