Single serving frozen pizza lurks on grass in between sidewalk and Trout Brook Drive

Outside of this fenced in West Hartford home on Trout Brook there often lurks an individual pizza set nicely on its pizza box.  
I have come across it at least 4 times,  the first time my dog grabbed a small piece before I knew what was happening and grabbed her back!
It makes me feel uncomfortable.  Is this a harmless offering to the universe?  Is it a poisoned ugly thing, put out to lure in and hurt an unknowing animal?
What is up with this pizza????
