We’ve got a tasty treat coming for a large group headed to Hartford this weekend.

Magnet Schools of America (MSA) will hold its 32nd National Conference on Magnet Schools in Hartford from Thursday through Sunday at the Connecticut Convention Center.

The national conference will attract over 1,000 public magnet school principals, teachers, and administrators and is the largest conference focused on magnet and theme-based schools. For the first time, hundreds of parents will also be invited to the conference to learn about magnet schools and ways to support their children’s education.

To show our support for education, educators, and students, we at Peppercorn’s Grill are offering a special deal to members of this conference. When they come in, if they show this blog (either on their smartphone or a printed copy) to their server, they will receive 15 percent off their entrees.

It’s our way of saying thank you for what you do.

During the convention, magnet school teachers and leaders will experience a multitude of professional development and networking opportunities focused on equity, excellence, diversity, public school choice, and school leadership. The conference will feature keynote speeches, breakout sessions, student performances, vendor exhibitions, and workshops held at local elementary and secondary theme-based magnet schools.

The conference will be hosted by Hartford Public Schools, with additional sponsorship and support from the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), East Hartford Public Schools, Goodwin College, LEARN, New Haven Public Schools, New London Public Schools, and Waterbury Public Schools.
