“Cabaret” opens at Playhouse on Park

Beginning on Wednesday June 12th, 2013, Playhouse on Park presents the Tony Award winning musical “Cabaret” book by Joe Masteroff, Music by John Kander and Lyrics by Fred Ebb. Cabaret is an exciting and fun musical that uniquely explores an era where history was in the making! Lights up on the Kit Kat Klub, a seedy cabaret in late 1920's Berlin. The Master of Ceremonies introduces us to a world where outside troubles do not matter and problems can be left at the door. In the 1998 revival version, the version we are producing, this Tony Award-winning musical features notable musical numbers including, It Couldn't Please Me More, Willkommen, Cabaret, Don't Tell Mama and Two Ladies. This performance is suggested for audiences aged 16 years and up due to explicit sexual content and mature subject matter. Directed by Sean Harris (co-founder, and artistic director of Playhouse on Park), musical direction by Colin Britt, and choreography by Darlene Zoller (co-founder, and artistic director of Playhouse on Park) this production stars Brendan Norton (Playhouse on Park: Sir Mullet “Trapizium”, Antipholus/Antipholus “The Comedy of Errors”) as Emcee, Erin Lindsey (Everyman Theatre: “Private Lives”, the Secret Theatre: “Side Show”) as Sally Bowels, Kathleen Huber (New York Stage: “Tamara”, “Harvest”, “The Madwoman of Chaillot”) as Fraulein Schneider, Damian Buzzerio (Florida Studio Theatre: Don Fermin/Older Eusebio “Boleros for The Disenchanted”, Carousel Dinner Theatre: Vinnie “The Odd Couple”) as Herr Schultz, Kevin Barlowski as Bobby, Hillary Ekwall as Gorrilla/Dancer/Cello, Zoe Farmingdale as Helga, Ashley Ford as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie, Mackenzie Leigh Friedman as Rosie/Sally Bowles u/s, Conor M.
