Local Auditions for Red Light Winter by Adam Rapp
Local auditions for Red Light Winter will be held at Playhouse on Park on Monday, July 29th between 7:00pm - 10:00pm. If you would like to be considered for an audition, please send your headshot and resume to Sean Harris at sharris@playhousetheatregroup.org. Sean will schedule an appointment, and provide you with appropriate sides. Please be familiar with the script ahead of your audition.
This is a three-week non-AEA contract. Pay is $300 per week. Rehearsals begin September 2nd, performances are scheduled September 19th, 20th & 22nd.

About the show: Former college friends Matt and Davis take off on a trip to Amsterdam and find themselves in a complicated love triangle with a young prostitute named Christina. When they return home, they discover that there is a much darker truth underneath the surface. This is a story of friendship, sexual encounters, and unrequited love and was a finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize. Audiences 18 and up only. This production contains nudity, strong sexual content, and profanity.
Character descriptions:
Matt: A 30 year old playwright who is high in anxieties, particularly surrounding his health, his career, and his lack of ability to attract women. A close friend of Davis, he becomes infatuated with Christina, a prostitute from the Red Light District in Amsterdam that Davis brings back to his hotel room. This role contains nudity.
Davis: A 30 year old book editor who is high in energy, high in confidence, and is a close friend of Matt. Davis is in a relationship with Matt's former girlfriend, and for this reason he is determined to have Matt sleep with a prostitute from the Red Light District of Amsterdam on their vacation.
Christina: A beautiful 25 year old prostitute from the Red Light District in Amsterdam. She says she came from Paris and is a singer, but when she meets Matt and Davis for a second time, we learn that her history and current circumstances are a little more complicated. This role contains nudity.
