Police don't say why the pedestrian refused to move

State Police are investigating a bizarre accident that occurred in West Hartford Saturday night.

A Bloomfield man was standing in the left lane of Interstate 84 blocking a car driven by a Vernon woman, when he was struck, the Hartford Courant reports.

Jaime Couloute-Hampton, of Bloomfield, received minor injuries when he was struck by the car driven by Martha J. Marronn, of Vernon.

The police report gives no indication why Couloute-Hampton did not want Marron to drive away. Police are investigating.
