Colt Manufacturing Evacuated After Fire

The West Hartford Fire Department knocked down the fire and is now clearing the building of smoke.

The West Hartford Fire Department firefighters are on scene at Colt Manufacturing, 545 New Park Ave., due to initial reports of heavy smoke coming from the building.

Employees were evacuated from the building, WTNH reports. By 8:40 a.m., the majority of the fire was extinguished, WTIC Fox CT reports.
