DEA, Police, Other Agencies Seize 167 Pounds of Marijuana at West Hartford Home

Three arrested in drug bust at Cambridge Street home.

The West Hartford Police Special Investigations, working together with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Homeland Security conducted a controlled delivery at 35 Cambridge St., West Hartford on Wednesday, police said.

According to police, a package containing 167 pounds of marijuana packaged for delivery and sale was seized at the Cambridge St. residence.

"It was one of the larger drug busts ever in West Hartford history," said a police official.

Three individuals were arrested by West Hartford Police after they took delivery of the package and attempted to flee into the home at 35 Cambridge St., police said.

According to an incident summary released by West Hartford police, Andy Gajju, 23, of 35 Cambridge St., West Hartford; Daniel Vidal, 20, of 27 Chestnut Court, Cromwell; and Corey Brookshire, 39, of 195 Abbotsford Ave., West Hartford, will be charged with conspiracy to sell drugs, sale/distribution, and other charges to be determined.
