A Serial Sunglasses Swiper in Farmington?

If you know this man, Farmington Police want to hear from you.


Farmington Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of swiping two pairs of designer sunglasses from the Lenscrafters store at the Westfarms Mall.

According to a police statement, on June 20 "a heavyset white male (approximately 300 pounds, 5 feet 9inches tall), balding with brown hair, wearing a striped polo shirt entered Lenscrafters at Westfarms Mall, selected two pairs of Oakley sunglasses, concealed them into the pocket of his pants and exited the store without paying."

Police say "the suspect has stolen from this Lenscrafters location on two prior occasions (April 9 and April 10, 2014)."

According to oakley.com, the glasses start at $100 a pair with top of the line models priced at $650.

Anybody with identifying information for the suspect is asked to contact Farmington Officer Kory Vincent at (860) 675-2400 or vincentk@farmington-ct.org.  Anonymous tips can also be left on Farmington PD’s tip-line at (860) 675-2483.
