Drug and Shoplifting Arrests Among Charges This Week

Police arrest log for May 30-June 5, 2011

West Hartford: Raymond Thomas, 51, 425 Barbour Street Apt. A, Hartford, was charged with third-degree burglary, interfering with an officer and sixth-degree larceny on May 31. Police said he was stopped walking away from a closed gas station, and in his possession were items taken from inside the gas station. Bond was set at $10,000.

West Hartford: Matthew J. Miller, 48, 201 Pitman Street, Providence, RI, was charged with credit card theft, first-degree identity theft, 40 counts of illegal use of a credit card and second-degree larceny on May 31. Police said he was arrested based on an active arrest warrant. Bond was set at $50,000.

West Hartford: Debra A. Callahan, 49, 36 Albert Avenue, Wethersfield, was charged with illegal possession, fifth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 31. Police said she was arrested following a motor vehicle stop and found to be in possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $2,500.

1449 New Britain Avenue: Wayne S. Levy, 55, 30 Birch Hill Drive, was charged with operating while under the influence on May 31. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Frank Clegg, 36, 29 Overlook Avenue, Middletown, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without carrying a license and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 31. Bond was set at $10,000.

West Hartford: Donna-Rae Dunstan, 30, 19 Sharon Street, Hartford, was charged with two counts of second-degree forgery and two counts of fifth-degree larceny on June 1. Police said Dunstan was arrested on an active warrant for passing several bad checks throughout the town of West Hartford. Bond was set at $25,000.

1445 New Britain Avenue: Carlos Martinez-Baez, 46, 56 William Street, East Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on June 1. Police said he was arrested for shoplifting from Sears.

West Hartford: Jennifer J. Pollard, 28, 8 Clay Street Apt. A Hartford, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana and sixth-degree larceny on June 1. Police said she was caught shoplifting at Macy’s. Bond was set at $2,000.

West Hartford: Avgitas Karambinas, 31, 310 Tremont Street, Newington, was charged with failure to display plate/sticker, illegal possession of marijuana, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and weapons in a motor vehicle on June 1. Police said he was found to have marijuana, an Aderall pill, a knife with a 4.75 inch blade and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Craig B. Anforth, 39, 83 Lebanon Avenue Apt. A5, Colchester, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and restricted turns failure to signal on June 1. Bond was set at $1,500.

103 Raymond Road: John E. McKay, 20, 31 Pinnacle Road, Farmington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on June 2. Police said he turned himself in on a warrant. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Jessie Guinter, 23, 11 Putnam Heights Road, Hartford, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on June 2. Police said she was arrested on a warrant after a motor vehicle stop. Bond was set at $500.

195 Prospect Avenue: Mark R. Vincent, 29, 90 Farmington Chase Road, Farmington, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana, misuse of license plate and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 2. Police said Vincent was seen with a vehicle that had File 16 plates (reported lost or stolen), in this case the plate was reported lost in a parking lot in Mansfield. He gave consent to search the vehicle, and marijuana and a pipe were found. Bond was set at $1,000.

West Hartford: Robert W. Hahn, 62, 56 Sidney Avenue, was charged with illegal possession on June 2. Police said Hahn was turned over by Cromwell Police on a warrant. Bond was set at $2,000.

46 Kane Street: Angela Cianfaglione, 41, 52 Ward Place, Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on June 2. Police said she was arrested for shoplifting from ShopRite after taking approximately $30 worth of groceries. Bond was set at $1,000.

West Hartford: Frantz Eloi, 51, 121 Seymour Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening on June 2. Police said he was arrested after making threats to his son that he is going to kill his mother. Bond was set at $500,000.

New Park Avenue/New Britain Avenue: Sebastian L. Kubuj, 22, 72 Booth Street Apt. 1N, New Britain, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and restricted turns failure to signal on June 2. No bond was set.

New Park Avenue/New Britain Avenue: Lukasz Kubuj, 20, 44 John Street, New Britain, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 2. Bond was set at $1,500.

West Hartford: Bryan Soler, 19, 52 Alden Street Apt. 102, Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer on June 3. Bond was set at $500.

611 New Park Avenue: Erin Greaves, 29, 70 Wild Oak Drive, Southington, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and restricted turns failure to signal on June 3. Police said she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000.

611 New Park Avenue: Scott Gallagher, 32, 102 Fifth Street, Bristol, was charged with illegal possession on June 3. Police said he was in a motor vehicle stopped for a violation and was found to be in possession of heroin. Bond was set at $2,500.

611 New Park Avenue: Brandon J. Paige, 28, 632 East Main Street, New Britain, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on June 3. Police said he was in a vehicle stopped for a violation and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Christina B. Wallace, 26, 7 Butternut Drive, Bloomfield, was charged with two counts of injury/risk/impairing morals of a child and fifth-degree larceny on June 3. Police said she was arrested for shoplifting more than $500 worth of products from Sephora at WestFarms Mall. Bond was set at $2,500.

New Britain Avenue/Valley Crest Drive: Dale Gilchrist, 21, 20 Cardston Circle, Windsor, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana on June 3. Police said he was found to be hiding marijuana on his person during a motor vehicle stop. Bond was set at $5,000.

I-84West/Exit 43: Wesley A. Matthews, 18, 109 Thomas Street, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on June 3. Police said he was arrested after he and two other people assaulted a person. Bond was set at $5,000.

1-84 West/Exit 43: Jordan A. Matthews, 18, 64 Harriet Tubman Court, Hartford, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on June 3. Police said he was arrested after he and two other people assaulted a person. Bond was set at $5,000.

1-84 West/Exit 43: Joseph E. Arruda, 18, 675 Flatbush Avenue, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on June 3. Police said he was arrested after an assault. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Julissa Hernandez, 37, 193 Boulevard, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on June 3. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Earnel Earle, 28, 10 Brattle Street, was charged with violation of probation on June 3. Police said he turned himself in on an active warrant. Bond was set at $40,000.

115 South Main Street: Anila Goxhaj, 31, 97 Brookfield Street, Manchester, was charged with failure to drive in proper lane and operating while under the influence on June 4. Bond was set at $250.

898 Farmington Avenue: David V. DiValentino, 47, 2660 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, was charged with misuse of plate, no insurance, operating with registration/license/suspended/revoked, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of number plate/insert on June 4. Police said he was found operating a car with a stolen license plate. He had a suspended license and no insurance. A crack pipe was found in the passenger compartment. Bond was set at $1,000.

2600 Albany Avenue: Carmelo Soto, 35, 26 London Road, Windsor, was charged with failure to display plate/sticker, illegal possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and weapons in a motor vehicle on June 4. Police said he was arrested following a motor vehicle stop in which heroin, drug paraphernalia and a large knife were found. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Otis Clark, 31, 1926 Westminster Drive, Fort Collins, CO, was charged with second-degree breach of peace on June 4. Police said he caused a minor disturbance with the manager in the Whole Foods at 340 North Main St. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Carmen Pacheco, 46, 39 Dorothy Street, Hartford, was charged with no insurance, operating with registration/license/suspended/revoked, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating while under the influence on June 4. Bond was set at $7,500.

West Hartford: Dian Burgess, 39, 63 Sterling Road, East Hartford, was charged with fifth-degree larceny on June 4. Bond was set at $1,500.

507 New Park Avenue: David C. Brown, 47, 36 Briar Lane, Bloomfield, was charged with interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny, misuse of plate, no insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle on June 4. Police said he was caught shoplifting at BJ’s, fled on foot and left the area in a vehicle. He was located getting onto I-84 East at Flatbush Avenue. He was also charged with second-degree failure to appear. Police said he was found to have a prior warrant. Bond was set at $8,250.

284 South Main Street: Samuel T. Congdon, 21, 284 South Main Street, was charged with failure to drive in proper lane and operating while under the influence on June 4. Police said Congdon crashed his motor vehicle into a telephone pole, appeared intoxicated and was given a breathalyzer test. Bond was set at $1,000.

West Hartford: Daniel A. Riggio, 23, 64 Roast Meat Hill Road, Killingworth, was charged with one count of fifth-degree larceny on June 5. Police said he had an arrest warrant for fifth-degree larceny. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Alexander T. Dyson, 18, address unknown, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass on June 5. Police said he had been previously warned not to return to 281 North Main Street. Police were called when Dyson was on the property again. Bond was set at $10,000.

West Hartford: Jean B. Vince, 71, 193 Wells Street, Glastonbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on June 5. Police said Vince, who suffers from a traumatic brain injury, was issued a summons for sixth-degree larceny. No bond was set.
