'Failure To Appear' on West Hartford Charges Turns Into Hefty Bond Total for Bloomfield Man

He was picked up in Vernon on three re-arrest warrants on Friday, police said.

A Bloomfield man has turned several promises to appear in court into $35,000 worth of bonds after his arrest in Vernon on Friday, police said.

Dequan Faucette, 27, of 1050 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield, was taken into custody at 2:13 p.m. on Friday and was assigned a Monday court date, police said.

Vernon police said they learned that Faucette had three re-arrest warrants  outstanding, two for incidents in West Hartford, that had been issued on Nov. 8, judicial system and police records indicate.

According to court records, Faucette was charged with an ordinance violation in West Hartford on April 26. He was charged with failure to respond to a payable violation that day and failing to show up in court on May 11, court records indicate.

The day before he skipped out on his court date, he was charged in Hartford with sixth-degree larceny, according to court records. Faucette violated a promise to appear for that case, according to court records.

On May 16, Faucette was charged with sixth-degree larceny in West Hartford and did not show up on a promise to appear in court to answer that charge, according to court records.
