Man Accused of Shooting Videos Up Women's Skirts in West Hartford Told To Stay Away From Malls

Judge orders Husein Ahmetovic to stay out of any malls within a 35-mile radius of Waterbury and other stores that sell women's clothing.

A man facing 30 counts of voyeurism for allegedly recording video footage up women's skirts at the Westfarms Mall in West Hartford was ordered by a judge to stay out of any malls within a 35-mile radius of Waterbury, according to court officials.

Husein Ahmetovic, 46, of 109 Radcliffe Ave. in Waterbury, was told he must also stay away from stores with women's clothing and can't use his camera outside of his home, according to WFSB.com. He also cannot make any contact with any of the witnesses and must surrender his passport.

Ahmetovic was arrested by West Hartford police on June 28 after a woman chased him from a store inside in the mall, across New Britain Avenue into the Sears store, where she then called police.

Officers were sent to the area of Sears "for a suspicious person who was seen using a camera to take video up females' skirts inside of Forever 21 inside the Westfarms Mall. The female complainant chased the male suspect out of the mall and across New Britain Avenue into Sears while she called police."

Police said Ahmetovic "had a Sony digital camera on his person with a memory card and spare battery. (He) would pretend to be shopping next to females who were wearing skirts. He placed his camera on top of an article of clothing and would bend down and position the camera at an angle where he was able to record up their skirts."

Police said the memory card had more than 68 videos with the date stamp of June 28, with time stamps beginning at 10:17 a.m. and ending at 4:41 p.m. There were 30 videos of 30 different women, police said.
