Photo Gallery: West Hartford Firefighters Annual Memorial Ceremony

The ceremony took place on at West Hartford Station #2 earlier this month.

Each year for the past 10 years, the West Hartford Fire Department has held a memorial ceremony to honor the town's fallen firefighters.

This year marked the tenth anniversary of the death of West Hartford firefighter Patrick Brooks, former president of Firefighters Local 1241, who died suddenly while on duty in the Berkshire Road firehouse in 2002.

The Nov. 11 ceremony, which was held at the Brace Road Station, included laying of a wreath at the Firefighter's Memorial and music by the Connecticut Firefighters Pipes and Drums.

Images of the memorial ceremony have been provided by Battalion Chief Matt Stuart.

Hi Barbara, We are so sorry this happened. Last night we added 200 sites to our great new BetaRead More platform and we think that made our newsletter server go haywire. Our engineers are hard at work to fix this bug and we are hopeful that things will be much smoother on Thursday.
