Police Make Several Arrests for DUI This Week

Police arrest log for July 5-10, 2011. The following arrest information was supplied by the West Hartford Police Department.

Editor's note: One person's name was removed from this report because his or her charges were dismissed.

Bristol Police Department: Karl C. Johnson, 62, 268 Divinity Street, Bristol, was charged with engaging police in pursuit, failure to drive in the proper lane and operating while under the influence on July 5. No bond was set.

West Hartford: Larry G. Brown, 27, 23 Center Street, Windsor Locks, was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree assault, third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on July 5. No bond was set.

West Hartford: Marcus G. Nelson, 34, 120 Cornwall Street, Hartford, was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree assault, third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening on July 5. No bond was set.

3100 Albany Avenue: Robert J. Toth, 24, 33 Circle Drive, Burlington, was charged with illegal possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and traveling unreasonably fast on July 5. Police said following a motor vehicle stop, he was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Anthony Arena, 48, 118 Bannister Street, Hartford, was charged with third-degree burglary, illegal possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to respond to a violation on July 5. Police said Arena was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and had two warrants. Bond was set at $7,150.

West Hartford: Freddy Figueroa, 33, 101 Amity Street, Hartford, was charged with interfering with an officer, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating without a license on July 5. Police said he was charged with interfering after lying about his identity during a motor vehicle stop. Bond was set at $3,000.

West Hartford: Rey Lopez, 36, 35 Fairview Street, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on July 6. Police said he turned himself in on a warrant for failing to appear on motor vehicle charges. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Pasquale Sanseverino, 37, 72 Smalley Street, New Britain, was charged with third-degree burglary on July 6. No bond was set.

Prospect Avenue/Kane Street: Marc Doster, 26, 85 Dillion Road, Hartford, was turned over to Glastonbury police. Police said after a motor vehicle stop, he was found to have a warrant out of the Glastonbury Police Department. No bond was set.

Albany Avenue/Ferncliff Drive: Heidi A. Pitts, 53, 39 Troy Street, was charged with distracted driving behavior while committing a motor violation, failure to drive in the proper lane, operating while under the influence and two counts of possession of a controlled substance on July 6. Bond was set at $1,000.

West Hartford: Meghan K. Jordan, 28, 570 Copper Hill Road, West Suffield, was charged with operating while under the influence on July 7. Bond was set at $1,000.

503 New Park Avenue: Ronald L. Baker, 43, 145 Freeman Street, Hartford, was charged with operating with registration/license/suspended/revoked and operating while under the influence on July 7. Bond was set for $500.

331 South Street: Kharisma Thomas, 24, 164 Maple Street, East Hartford, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order, threatening on July 7. Police said she had a court order stating she was not to have any contact with a protected party at his place of employment, and she showed up at his place of work on July 7 in violation of this order. Bond was set at $5,000.

103 Raymond Road: Nitza Lopez, 26, 41 Douglas Street, Hartford, was charged with credit card theft, criminal attempt, illegal use of credit card and sixth-degree larceny on July 7. Police said she turned herself in on a warrant for credit card theft. Bond was set at $2,500.

West Hartford: Jose Galindez, 44, 75 Shadow Lane, was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening on July 7. Bond was set at $25,000.

West Hartford: Malorie R. Hammer, 23, 480 South Main Street Apt. 5, Waterbury, was charged with illegal possession and possession of drug paraphernalia on July 7. Police said she was found to be in possession of two bags of heroin, a hypodermic needle and suboxone. Bond was set at $1,500.

West Hartford: John D. Ferrante, 20, 49 Loomis Drive Apt. B1, was charged with operating while under the influence and restricted turns failure to signal on July 8. Bond was set at $1,000.

2900 Albany Avenue: Richard P. Ross, 51, 22 Pythian Avenue, Torrington, was charged with operating while under the influence and speeding on July 8. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Armin Kamali, 25, 42 Cassilis Road, was charged with operating while under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast on July 9. Police said Kamali was observed staggering toward his car and subsequently sped down South Main Street from West Hartford Center. Police said he was stopped and admitted to drinking four-five beers at Barcelona. Bond was set at $500.

Farmington Avenue/LaSalle Road: Brett J. Seaver, 27, 30 Walnut Street, Winsted, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief on July 9. Police said his arrest stemmed from property damage to a parking gate. No bond was set.

West Hartford: Maurice S. Daniels, 35, 30 Jackson Avenue, was charged with operating while under the influence on July 9. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Daniel Trentacoste, 30, 19 Phoenix Avenue, Naugatuck, was charged with failure to have tail lamps, illegal possession, operating with registration/license/suspended/revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia on July 9. Bond was set at $1,500.

160 Oakwood Avenue: Dshaun M. Williams, 20, 140 Coolidge Street, Hartford, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order, threatening, misuse of plate, no insurance and operating a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle without a license, first offense on July 9. Police said he was seen inside a vehicle in Kennedy Park after hours and found to have misused plates and was without insurance. He also had a warrant for his arrest from Bloomfield and was in violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $10,000.

West Hartford: Jamar Bridges, 37, 235 South Quaker Lane Apt. 2, was charged with interfering with an officer and violations concerning signal device on July 9. Bond was set at $1,500.

West Hartford: Jose Burgos, 24, 131 Clark Street, New Britain, was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and operating while under the influence on July 10. Bond was set at $500.

Farmington Avenue/Dover Road: [Name Withheld], 53, of Hartford, was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening on July 10. Police said he was said to have caused a disturbance at the residence of his estranged wife and threatened her. Bond was set at $2,500.

West Hartford: Jennifer M. Slaughter, 24, 464 Robert Court, Auburn Hills, MI, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on July 10. Police said she was arrested following an incident at PF Chang’s. Bond was set at $1,000.

West Hartford: Della Hamby, 26, 11701 Oxnard Street Apt. 3, North Hollywood, CA, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on July 10. Police said she was arrested after creating a disturbance and assaulting a waitress at PF Chang’s. Bond was set at $1,000.

74 Newington Road: Derronn C. Horlman, 23, 76 Macon Drive, Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree assault, first-degree burglary, criminal violation of a protective order, threatening, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, manufacturing and possession of a burglar’s tools, second-degree strangulation, second-degree threatening and first-degree unlawful restraint on July 10. Bond was set at $250,000.
